Par 3 Golf Courses
As you know, I was on vacation last week and ended up playing a local Par 3 course with my family. Shout out to Rick, Chip, T, and Big Jim.
We played at a course called Salt Pond, which had mostly Par 3 holes, ranging from 75 to 220 yards, with a few Par 4s mixed in.
It was a fun change of pace, but also quite challenging. I found myself using my 7-wood, as well as my 5-, 6-, and 7-irons, a lot more than I typically do in a round.
So it was great practice. It was also much cheaper; we finished in under 3 hours, played as a 5-some, and was generally a more relaxed round.
Long story short, we need more Par 3-style executive courses. The combination of price, time, and iron game practice makes for an underrated golf experience.
This would be pretty cool. It would be interesting to see which guys at the top struggle, and maybe some guys who lack distance do much better than normal.

This is another video from TPI. In this one, Dr. Greg Rose demonstrates the step drill to help emphasize getting the weight to the lead side earlier in the backswing. Check it out. Link
The video above comes from Jonathan Yarwood where he breaks down Keith Mitchells bunker shot swing. Link
This area of my game has improved dramatically due to a better setup and swing technique.
For me, it was reducing my shaft lean and feeling like I was releasing the club very early. It's a game-changer.

📊 Poll of the Week 📊
I recently saw the post below, which left me a bit confused. IMO, there isn’t even a debate about what one cup left means. It’s #2! Thoughts?

Salt Pond with my family as a 5-some was awesome. Fun course, allowed us to play together, finished in 3 hours. Doesn't get much better than that.
