Off-Season Practice Plan
As many of us approach the offseason, it's time to think about how we want to improve our golf games.
Some of us may prefer to take a break until spring, while others might see this as a chance to work on swing changes without impacting scores during the season. Still, others may want to focus on simply maintaining their skills.
Regardless of your goals, having a written plan is a great way to make off-season progress and start next year with a head start.
Begin by considering what you want to improve this offseason and what steps you'll take to get there—whether it’s speed training, putting, swing adjustments, or lessons.
For me, my priority is to maintain my swing rather than completely shut down for the year, as I’ve done in years past.
Since I'm not a fan of the cold, I plan to hit the simulator 2-4 times a month. Additionally, I'll work on speed training with The Stack system and practice on an indoor putting mat, focusing on putts within 0-10 feet.
The season isn’t over yet, but I'll outline my offseason plan sometime in the next couple of months. Stay tuned for the official offseason goals and practice schedule.
This tweet below from Ross MacLeod is an excellent example of how I’ll structure things and probably do this to a T for my off-season putting plan.
