🎄 🎁 The 2nd Cut: 2023 Holiday Gift Guide 🎁 🎄
My favorite Golf Products, Gear, and Training Aids all in One Convenient Place
The holidays are officially here. Christmas music is in full swing, Thanksgiving is around the corner, and Black Friday deals are popping up. So, I thought I’d put together a list of my favorite golf products, gear, and training aids all in one convenient place for readers.
Just an FYI. I own and/or use just about every product on this list. The only way it makes it on here is if I am a fan of the product!
Rhoback Apparel (20% off)
My wife bought me my first Rhoback hoodie earlier this year. They aren’t cheap, but man, are they nice.
I have a couple of their golf polos and hoodies, and I can’t recommend this brand enough. The quality is top-notch, which you can feel immediately after putting it on. It also looks great and can be worn on or off the course.
Check out the State series of Polos, which features various state-themed shirts. There is also a USA series of polos, Q Zips, Vests, and other clothing for men and women.
Lucky for us, there is a 20% sitewide deal through 11/27. You can click on the picture above or here to shop.
Skillest
This season, I’ve been using Skillest for online lessons with Ryan Mouque. I realize online lessons are not for everyone, but I’ve found them to be a huge help to my game, and they are extremely convenient. Link
There are some excellent coaches on the app offering lessons for as cheap as $40 a session. I really think it’s worth trying at least once to see if you like it.
If you want more information on Skillest and online lessons, read my Deep Dive called Online Lessons.
The Stack

I have used The Stack, and it really does work. I gained around five mph in swing speed, which added ~12 yards to my drive.
With the offseason approaching, this would be the perfect time to work on your distance gains. It also makes for a great Christmas gift. Also, they have a great putting program and are constantly improving the app.
The Stack typically goes for $350, but you can get $50 off by using the link below.

*The Stack requires a speed device like the PRGR
Groove It Brush
The Grooveit has a fully detachable magnet that allows you to clean your club freely without needing a lanyard. It has a pump action button that sprays water on the club face. The only downside is it’s easier to lose. Don’t forget to reattach it!
It’s currently going for $25 on Amazon. Link
The Platypus Golf Caddie
It’s essentially a golf glove case on steroids. The Platypus Golf Caddie has a hand shaper to hold your gloves shape, and a place for tees, ball markers, and fixers. It also has a mesh pocket for anything you want easy access to, like cigars, keys, money, extra tees, etc.
I won’t give this product the T2C Must Have status, but it is definitely a nice-to-have product. I like how it keeps my in-round essentials all in one spot in the cart. It’s high quality and comes in a variety of colors.
It’s currently going for $40 on Amazon. Link
PRGR Launch Monitor
If you are a golf nut looking for a launch monitor to give you swing speed and club distances this is the simplest and cheapest device I’ve come across. It’s straightforward to use and about the size of a small iPhone.
Set the PRGR on the ground about 3 feet behind the ball and start hitting. After each swing, the device will give you carry distance, total distance, club speed, ball speed, and smash factor.
I use it for swing speed training and confirming my club distances. It can be used indoors or outdoors.
It goes for $230 on Amazon. Hopefully, they’ll drop the price for Black Friday. Here is the link.
Journal 18

The Performance Journal is the perfect way to implement intentions pre-round and evaluate them post-round. It provides a feedback loop for the golfer. Between pre and post-round pages, there is a scorecard where you can record everything from, fairways hit, GIRs, OOB, and putts.
I love how the journal organizes everything in one convenient space. It’s a friendly reminder while on the course and an excellent resource for reviewing past rounds. Recording pre- and post-round sections took me just a couple of minutes at most.
The Performance Journal is going for $40, and you can buy it here.
Books 📚
For those of you who enjoy getting into the weeds of golf, here are a few of my favorite books:
Blue Tees GPS Speaker
Ok, this is the first product I don’t actually have on the list. But I want it! I’ve seen it in the wild, and it was impressive. It has great sound, a touch screen, attaches to the cart, and gives you all the information you could want.
There is a Black Friday sale right now for $50 off. It’s currently going for $200 here.
Other Ideas
If you are looking for other golf clothes brands you can check out Malbon, Nike Golf, Bad Birdie, Travis Mathew, GFore, and all of the big brands. My wife mentioned that Taylor Jordan is great for any women golfers out there.
I don’t really have much else in the bag except for a putting mirror, and I’m looking to buy a putting mat for the offseason. Of course, gift cards for lessons, fittings, clubs, and local courses are always a hit!
Keep an eye out for Black Friday sales!
Til next week.
